Okay, forget going in chronological order. I'm hopelessly behind on here. But I have to share my latest Ellie-ism.
A few weeks ago, I watched Ellie on a Sunday while her parents both participated in a triathlon. This comprised about 10 hours of her day on Sunday, 1 hour of which was meeting. (Considering the fact that she's not used to A) being quiet or B) being still for more than 30 seconds at time, I thought things went pretty well. We focused more on A than B, but she didn't fall off of her chair at least. Small steps!) Besides meeting, we had time for lots of other things too. We played, we ate pizza, we napped (well, Ellie did), we read books, etc. But apparently the meeting thing made the biggest impression on her, because when her parents got home and her daddy asked her what she had done that day, she proudly responded "I be quiet!!". Nicely done, Ellie, nicely done.
Apparently, she forgave me for the 'we must sit here and be quiet and listen to the people (or put a gazillion stickers on your book and eat Cheerios, as the case may be) because in a recent contest between A) getting a cookie and B) going to Karmen's house, option B won out. High praise from a 2.5 year old! Warmed my heart :)
